NOW FOR THE WORLD CUP DRAWS…
We will know WORLD CUP groups before the end of today. The draws will be done by 4.00pm. It will be exciting. We will now show everyone the POTs, possible draws, and explain the system. Let’s do this:

WHO CAN NIGERIA BE DRAWN WITH:
Russia, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, Argentina, Belgium, Poland, France.
Yeah… we didn’t do much calculation, we only know that Nigeria will definitely play any of the top teams in POT1. We will show the DRAW POTS and explain the system.

HOW WERE THE POTS DECIDED?:
.
The POTS were decided by FIFA Ranking October 2017, with exception of Russia, the Host. POTS were filled from A to D with qualified teams taking positions by ranking. This means that Germany in POT 1 was the highest ranking team, followed by Brazil, then Portugal, and the trend goes down to Saudi Arabia that is the lest ranked team in the World Cup, ranked at 63. If you want to know why the lapses in-between as there are 32 teams), it is because of Countries that didn’t qualify ranked better than some that qualified. Nigeria was ranked 41, that is why we made POT 4. POT1 are the best ranked team, follow by POT 2, then 3 and 4.

HOW WILL THE DRAWS BE DONE:
- There will be 8 World Cup groups of 4 Countries each: Group A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H.
- Drawing will be from POTS in the direct order of A, then B, C, D; to fill the different groups.
- No team from the seem confederation will be drawn together in the same group, with the exception of UEFA that can have 2 teams drawn in the same group. Nigeria can not be drawn with any African Country.

LOL… When Nigeria beat Argentina in friendlies, some Footbalgerians were excited and said World Cup should bring on anyone. Please we don’t want any tough group please. Maybe in the Elimination round we could learn from their play and try to beat tough Countries, not in the group stages please.
